simply put, i had the same trouble when i first started, the thing is... the mirror will ONLY use the skills that YOU bring in, bring in as little spells as possible, and cast them before he does

bring Retribution and Healing Breeze. no others.
cast Retribution on yourself and keep HB up as much as possible. stand back and watch him murder himself. He will not use Healing Breeze. |

I have the same problem. In the end, no matter what strategy I try, his damage is just way too much. I can't count on him to cast anything because he usually goes straight to raping me with his bow. And when I try using Empathatic strategies (Mesmer here) I'm still dead before he kills himself anyway

didnt work. i got his energy down by about 25%. thats about all.
not to mention that my magic does not return so fast when i havethe spells on. is there a way that i can get an increast to my magic energy return? im only at 4 arrows. (before i cast spells). i tried it your way. i also tried keeping vital blessing, heal area, retribution, healing breeeze and bane signet. i cant beat him. tell me more.! |

Do not bring in any heal spells other than healing breeze, he heals himself far better than you can heal yourself. If you have any enchantments (other than healing breeze) in your skill bar, he should cast them at the beginning of the battle. Try bringing in a lot of skills that negate physical damage and rely on your smiting skills that penetrate armor to beat him. Other than that, I dunno, there's a lot of threads on beating your mirrior, try doing a search.

I stripped myself entirely of all my skills, then just went in with a hammer, and I beat him with half of my health left. I just had more crits and a higher dmg hammer than him.

It's not this difficult... you're trying WAY TOO HARD. What you need to do is go in and deal as much damage as you can as fast as possible. That's the ONLY way to win. If you keep losing it's:
A. You bring more skills than you need B. You don't know how to properly use your skills C. You try to outsmart him and think too damn hard Just DEAL DAMAGE... you'll do fine. |

Here is what worked for me...I'm an El/Mo. Bane Signet and Healing Breeze. Amp the beejeesus outta your Healing and Smiting attribs. When you enter, tab to target, space bar to start attacking with your weapon, cast breeze, cast bane, cast breze again. Every time a spell timer resets, recast that spell. It was a looooong fight, but I won.

dansamy, did your mirror image ever cast Healing Breeze on itself? Because if it did then I don't think that strategy would work. Is there a reason the mirror never uses Healing Breeze? Weezer_Blue's strategy also depends on the mirror not useing Breeze.

well, i got him down to almost nothing. less than 5 %. 2 times. but i lost.
once if i could have dont the bane i would have won. as far as bane. i can only get it off 2 times. i think i might increase my protective powers and try to use a vital blessing. if i can get more hp i might win. im not sure smiting spells is going to win it for me. and unfortunalyte the healing wind barely helps. he still hits me really bad. too bad i cant realy dodge his arrows. |

Monk...I was in your boat. To the tea. And then I thought..hrm..I can't stop him from shooting me, I can't armor myself because he'll do the same and I can't damage. So, I went and upgraded to the Lvl 20 Armor set (I'd been using the one I got at lvl 15) and beat him the next time I went in there. Try upping your Armor. It makes a big difference against those nasty arrows.

listen up hers how you do it, no joke
1. divine boon 2. balthazars spirit 3. retribution cast them in that order, then just hit away, each time your health gets down cast divine boon again and it will heal you for aobut 60 *if your divine favor is at 12 its easy, jsut time your heals right even though you do about 5 and he does about 60 you will still win. i didnt even use retibution, with smiting prayers at 0 theres no point in it |
